The Minors beat St Lachtain's of Freshford this afternoon in Dicksboro!  The final score was 3.12 to 3.14 to Thomastown.  In a 'game of two halves', the first half belonged to Thomastown who were fourteen points ahead when the half-time whistle blew.  The second half seemed to be Freshford's but Thomastown Minors worked hard and never stopped trying and were rewarded with a win and a place in the County Final.  Tucker scored the first point in the opening seconds and at the end of the game it his goal and a point that secured the game for Thomastown.  Michael Donnelly scored seven points, five of which were frees.  Eoin Manning scored two points in the first half.  Gary Lehane scored one point.  Adrian Burke scored a brilliant goal in the first half and followed this with two points.  At the end of the first half Tucker scored a fantastic goal which was set up by great work from Kevin Butler.  The score at half time was Thomastown 2.11 to 3 points from Freshford.  St Lachtains came back strongly in the second half and almost gave Thomastown supporters a heart attack by scoring three goals and nine points - even pulling ahead at one point until Thomastown rallied and eventually won by two points.
