Final score was 2 18 to 1 11 to Thomastown.  Dylan Waugh got the first point from a free  and from then the sides kept fairly level until half time.  Further points in the first half were scored by Jonjo Farrell (2 from play), Tucker (1 from play), and Dylan Waugh (3 frees).  Dessie Walsh scored a goal late in the first half.   The score at half time was 9 all.
After a somewhat sluggish first half Thomastown got off to a good start in the second half with four points from Dylan Waugh - all frees.  Jonjo scored three more from play putting Thomastown ahead by 6 points.  Slieverue had only scored one point at this stage.  Another free from Dylan Waugh and a point each from Dessie and Jonjo went unanswered by Slieverue.  Robert O Hanrahan was replaced by Phil Moore.  The ball was once again in front of the Slieverue goal and in the hand of Tucker O Hanrahan when he was brought down by a high challenge which resulted in a red card for the Slieverue player.  Dylan Waugh scored a point from play and in the last minutes Slieverue got a goal which was quickly answered by Jonjo Farrell who scored a goal for Thomastown making the final score 2 18 to 1 11.  A good team performance and a great win.
